If you’re on the hunt for a new Kindle book, then look no further because we have rounded up all of the best ways to save money with Kindle deals. Whether it’s making the most of the Kindle Daily Deals offered by Amazon, subscribing to Kindle Unlimited, using Prime Reading or simply finding the best Kindle book deals – this guide covers it all.
We’ll talk you through all of the options you have for finding cheap Kindle books. Also, we’ve rounded up a bunch of discounted titles that we recommend from various genres including 99p Kindle books to those on offer for free.
This post will be updated each month, this way you can find the best Kindle book deals available.
If you haven’t discovered Kindle Daily Deals yet, you’re in for a treat. Every day Amazon offers an exciting daily lineup of discounted books, and although you may be thinking that these are likely old, obscure titles nobody has heard of – that’s not the case. Readers can often find best-sellers, recent releases and widely popular books from various genres on sale as the deal of the day. Amazon lowers the prices of a handful of Kindle books, usually down to 99p or even for free.
For example, for today’s Kindle book deals (29 July 2024), Amazon is offering Her Name Is Knight by Yasmin Angoe and You Should See Me in a Crown by Leah Johnson both for 99p.
If you are an avid reader and tend to go through a fair few books every month then Amazon’s Kindle book subscription service, Kindle Unlimited may very well be worth your while. It costs £9.49 monthly and you’ll gain access to the service’s thousands of books, magazines, and audiobooks. There is a 20-book limit for how many you can have downloaded onto your Kindle at one time, but this doesn’t really matter much.
The vast majority of books offered tend to be from a handful of genres including mainly romance, thriller, and fantasy. Whilst there is an enormous library of books to work your way through, they are not all best-sellers or by high-profile authors. So it’s likely that you won’t have heard of all the books on offer, though that is not to say they wouldn’t make an interesting read. The library changes constantly too with free Kindle books being added and removed.
After trying out Kindle Unlimited for a few months myself, I can say that it really is great to have so many books available at your fingertips. Just one tap and they’re downloaded straight to your Kindle. The only major drawbacks that I found were that there weren’t many books available that I had heard of, or that were already on my TBR. But having said that, it did mean that I discovered and enjoyed reading plenty of new titles. There are regular offers for a Kindle Unlimited free trial, so it’s best to check for these before committing to a subscription.
To give you an idea of what to expect from Amazon’s book subscription service, here are some of the best Kindle Unlimited books:
If you’re an Amazon Prime member then you already have free access to a library of over a thousand Kindle books, magazines and more with Prime Reading. There’s no extra fee needed to download and start reading. You can read on a Kindle or your phone or tablet with the free Kindle app. The books available through Prime reading will show ‘Read for free’ on the Kindle Store. There’s also a dedicated page on Amazon with a list of the best Prime Reading books that is regularly updated.
The library of books on offer is really impressive, say it comes as an added bonus with a Prime membership. You can find plenty of popular authors’ books, but the selection is albeit much smaller than on Kindle Unlimited. Here are a few of the top books on Prime Reading:
We’ve searched high and low to bring you a thorough selection of Kindle book deals for various different genres. So whether you prefer to read the unbelievable true stories of peoples’ lives or dive into tales of vampires and mythical creatures, you’re sure to find something to suit you.

Amazon definitely favours the romance genre when it comes to deals and offers. Readers can always find plenty of romance books with reduced prices, including new releases based on current films or series.
There are plenty of Kindle books on offer for all ages including comics, children’s books, and those for teens and young adults too. We’ve put together some of our favourite recommendations:
Another genre that Amazon likes to regularly offer decent deals in is fantasy. Not only are there a lot to choose from, but they often include critically-acclaimed including books and those shortlisted for notable literary prizes – such as Stone Blind by Haynes.
Fancy reading about weird and wonderful true stories, of famous celebrities such as Boy George and Billy Connolly? There are also plenty of other non-fiction books to discover for very low prices.
