Have you seen the new Alien movie and want to dive back into some nostalgic gaming? Then look no further as you can now save 75% off Alien: Isolation on Xbox.
The excellent Alien: Isolation is on sale on Xbox Series, no doubt to celebrate the release of Alien: Romulus at the cinema.
It’s the moment fans of the Alien saga have been waiting for! Alien: Romulus is in cinemas. And even though it’s not directed by Ridley Scott this time like the previous two films, there’s no doubt that you’ll love discovering this new instalment.
On consoles and PC, it’s a different kettle of fish. The Alien saga has had its ups and downs, but it reached its apogee almost ten years ago with Alien: Isolation, which is undoubtedly one of the best games of its year. That’s the subject of one of today’s deals, which offers a discount on the game with all its DLC. All in all, a complete, low-cost edition to celebrate the release of the film
Don’t hesitate to go to the Xbox store, where you’ll find this awesome deal. You’ll be able to buy Alien: Isolation – The Collection (the game and its 7 additional contents) for £11.24 instead of £44.99. That’s a 75% discount. Even ten years on, that’s a pretty good deal, especially given the quality of the game!
As I said, the Alien saga hasn’t always been very kind to its video games branch. The titles weren’t technologically advanced enough to be frightening enough, or the stakes were elsewhere. For example, Alien VS Predator was more gritty and enjoyable than scary, and the saga’s DNA was somewhat obsolete. Alien Isolation, on the other hand, is known for giving you the creeps. It works on its own terms: you know the xenomorph is there, it’s following you, you just never know how close it’s going to come. And it’s that little bit of fear that makes this excellent FPS so special.
You’ll find all the ingredients of a 2010s FPS – a handful of collectables to help you understand the story, both of the saga and of the title itself, which lives quite independently in the canon. And it’s all enhanced by excellent sound design, which does the job well. You’re making progress, and something goes tic tic tic above you… you’re in space, and it’s probably not a rat.
It’s a must-have – it’s a great deal for being spooked, and, quite simply, enjoying an excellent video game.
In addition to the base game, you’ll have access to all the DLCs. They are as follows:
Please note that this deal expires on 27 August.
