IKEA has revealed a new points-based rewards system for its UK-based Family Membership Scheme.

IKEA has announced that there are huge changes coming to its rewards scheme, IKEA Family. As of August 27, IKEA will soon allow the 10 million IKEA Family loyalty club members in the UK to earn points on every purchase made in-store and online. This move marks a significant transformation in the reward system offered by everyone’s go-to homeware shop.

Earn points for rewards

Under the new scheme, shoppers can earn points and redeem them for various rewards such as furniture discounts, and delivery perks, among other things. Since its launch in 2006, the popular scheme has already amassed more than 10 million users in the UK. With the point-based reward system being unveiled on August 27, members can now earn one point for every £5 spent.

An IKEA spokesperson expressed the brand’s enthusiasm about the upgrade, stating, “Starting from August 27, members can enjoy earning points and redeeming them for special discounts and exclusive offers”. Detailed information about how members can collect and redeem points will be disclosed soon.

The IKEA Family membership’s new point-based system is straightforward. Members can collect points on all their purchases, whether they buy products, pay for services (excluding third-party services) online, in physical stores, or when they dine at IKEA’s restaurants.

Members will earn points based on the total value of their eligible purchases, with one point collected for every £5 spent. Rewards can be redeemed once enough points are accumulated on the IKEA Family account, and rewards can range from discounted deliveries and meal offers to discounts on products too.

  • Up to 30% off selected rugs
  • 15% off IKEA kitchen installation
