What is Octoplus?

Octoplus is a rewards program offered by Octopus Energy, a UK-based renewable energy supplier. Launched in October 2023, it incentivises customers with smart meters to be more engaged in their energy consumption and contribute to a greener grid.

Here’s how Octoplus works:

• Smart Meter Requirement: Only Octopus Energy customers with smart meters qualify for Octoplus. These meters automatically send half-hourly energy usage readings, allowing for a more dynamic pricing structure.
• Earning Octopoints: You can earn points, called “Octopoints,” through various actions:
  • Participating in “Saving Sessions”: During periods of high grid demand, Octopus Energy might announce Saving Sessions. By reducing your electricity use during these times, you’ll earn extra Octopoints.
  • Maintaining a Healthy Account: Keeping your account information up to date and enrolled in Direct Debit can also earn you Octopoints.
• Redeeming Octopoints: Currently, Octopoints can be redeemed for:
  • Account Credit: Directly reduce your energy bill by converting points into account credit.
  • Rewards: Octopus Energy plans to offer various exciting rewards like vouchers for entertainment, food, or even donations to charities.

Octoplus 25% Discount at Selected Restaurants

Octoplus members can now save at select restaurants including Harvester, Stonehouse, Toby Carvery, Ember Inns and Sizzling Pub. From Monday to Thursday, members can get 25% off main meals. Whether you’re craving a comforting roast dinner at Toby Carvery, a freshly baked pizza from Stonehouse or a juicy steak from Sizzling Pubs, there’s something to satisfy every taste bud.

It’s important to keep in mind a few details. The offer applies to full-priced main dishes only and excludes breakfast and children’s meals. The discount is valid for up to 8 people dining together at the same table and paying in a single transaction. Octoplus customers can get one discount code per week and must use it at their chosen spot within 14 days, from Monday to Thursday. These promotions also cannot be combined with any other offers.
