Online searches for Eras Tour tickets rise 92% week-on-week as Taylor Swift gets set to head back to the UK

The team at hotukdeals analysed online searches from the money-saving website, finding that searches for ‘Taylor Swift’ are once again on the up, by as much as 92% week-on-week, having dipped in June after the Eras Tour left the UK to head to Ireland.

These figures will likely continue to increase as the UK leg of the tour continues throughout the 10-day period within London, with searches having increased by 338% in the weeks leading up to her last UK stunt just a few months ago. 

These findings reiterate general online searches by UK Swifties, with an analysis of Google Trends finding that UK fans are trying to get their hands on tickets in any way possible, even exploring the idea of travelling to another country. Online searches for ‘Taylor Swift Austria’ have increased by 1,500% in the past 30 days.

The team have also outlined their top tips on how to avoid falling prey to ticket scams by online third-party ticket sellers:

• Stick to buying directly from the venue or verified sellers where possible – there have been ticket drops from Ticketmaster in the last 24 hours so keep an eye on your emails 
• If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is! Facebook scams have got very sophisticated when it comes to ticketing, do not trust anyone you don’t who can’t be personally vouched for 
• Be sure to always check reviews for any sites you’re considering making a purchase from; ensure it has secure payment options and be sure to avoid sites with no contact information
• Consider using a credit card if you can, as you get additional buyer protection in the event that something goes wrong 
• Trust your gut, if something feels off, it’s best to look elsewhere.
