PlayStation Portal, Sony’s handheld companion to PS5, has flown off shelves across the UK. Secure yours via hotukdeals alerts.

The PlayStation Portal, Sony’s new handheld console designed to stream PS5 games over wifi, has flown off the shelves across UK retailers since its launch on 15 November.

With a £199.99 price tag, the Playstation Portal is more than just a traditional handheld. It’s a companion to your PS5, remotely streaming your favourite games from your primary unit over your local wi-fi connection. It allows gamers to bypass the TV, offering flexibility to play anywhere within the home, which would be very handy for larger households.

What about the PS Portal?

Equipped with an 8-inch portable display, the PlayStation Portal supports 1080px resolutions and refresh rates of up to 60fps. It’s an elegant device — imagine a mashup of the Nintendo Switch and the PS5’s signature DualSense controller.

While the PS5 offers cloud streaming for the latest games via PS Plus Premium, such service doesn’t seem to be on the horizon for PlayStation Portal players. For now, the device is positioned as a nifty accessory for PS5 owners, rather than standalone equipment.

Given the overwhelming demand, securing the PlayStation Portal is currently akin to a hunt for a golden ticket.

Here’s where you might be able to buy them, when back in stock. Currently none of the below sellers know when the PS Portal will be back on sale, so watch this space.

  • Buy at Amazon
  • Buy at Playstation
  • Buy at Argos
  • Buy at EE Store
  • Buy at Smyths
  • Buy at Very

Fear not, though, dedicated deal hunters on hotukdeals will share the love when these coveted gadgets come back in stock.

Create your alert now, so you don’t miss out on turning your PS5 experience portable (sort of).

Don’t miss a deal: Create alerts on hotukdeals

One of the best things about the hotukdeals community is that you can set up alerts, and it will tell you exactly when aa deal is posted. So if you are looking for the PS5 Portal, you just need to set it up.

Here’s how to do it.

  1. Go to Alerts on hotukdeals

To be notified each time a new deal aligns with a product you’re interested in, go to ‘Alerts‘ under your profile settings.

  2. Set your alert keyword

Input a keyword relevant to your search e.g. “PlayStation Portal” or “PS Portal” and it will notify you each time a deal is posted. Choose if you want an email sent along with the browser/app notification.

  3. Manage your Alerts

The notification options include site notifications, email notifications, or both. You can configure to receive an email alert each time a deal is listed, or you can choose to get a daily summary of all the deals related to your keywords posted throughout the day.

Easily manage alerts and change options any time by clicking the edit button under My Alerts.
