Calling all you ballers out there! Grab your Joy-Cons, because basketball is finally hitting the court in Nintendo Switch Sports!

As promised during the June 2024 Nintendo Direct, this exciting free update arrives in Europe on Wednesday, 10 July.

This slam dunk of an update adds three new game modes to keep the competition fierce. Team up with a friend for intense 2v2 matches, test your skills in the solo Three-Point Challenge, or challenge up to four friends in the frantic Five Streak Battle.

And the best part? You can enjoy all this basketball action with both local and online multiplayer!

This update brings the total number of sports in Nintendo Switch Sports to eight, with Golf joining the roster way back in 2022.

While the wait has been long, the free addition of basketball is sure to add even more fun and variety to the game.
