We are now facing a busy schedule of video game conferences. State of Play, Summer Game Fest or even Xbox Games Showcase, it’s an opportunity for publishers to publicise their upcoming video game releases.

In this article we will focus on the game Sonic X Shadow Generations. It is partly a remastered version of the title Sonic Generations released in 2011, with the bonus of a new campaign featuring the character Shadow.

The game was first announced during the State of Play in January 2024. It will be released in autumn 2024 on consoles and PC as can be seen in the game’s trailer.

A second announcement and the opening of pre-orders soon?

This is indeed what we think. Because on the one hand, and according to our information, the game has been validated by almost all certification bodies in the world between March and April 2024 ( PEGI 7 , ESRB 10+ , USK 12 , etc.).

On the other hand, the pages of the game are being prepared in the Nintendo digital store as well as on the Epic Games Store. Thus, we estimate that the announcement of the game’s release date will take place within 10 days.

According to the latest information, the physical edition of the game on PC, PS5, Xbox One/Series X|S and Switch will cost $49.99 (so probably £49.99 or thereabouts).
