Unlike Netflix, Apple TV+ is one of the streaming services that you can try out for free the most often. Now it’s that time again! All PlayStation console owners can now enjoy 3 months of free Apple TV+.
Do you own a PlayStation console and want to try out an Apple TV+ subscription? Then this deal is just right for you. New customers and qualified returning Apple TV+ customers can simply sign up for a free three-month trial subscription via its app on their PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 until 22 September, 2024.
It’s worth pointing out that if you aren’t a PlayStation owner, you can still get a one month trial via Apple.
How to get 3 months free Apple TV+
Apple and Sony has made it very easy for you to get the three months of Apple TV+ for free. All you need is a PS4 or PS5, a PSN account and an Apple ID. Costs only apply after the trial period has expired. However, you can cancel the subscription at any time within the three months.
If you do not cancel in time, the subscription will be renewed monthly — it is £8.99 per month. Therefore, you must use an Apple ID with a stored payment method for the trial period as well.
Here are the steps necessary to activate the Apple TV+ trial subscription:
- Open the Apple TV app on your PS4 or PS5 from the Media section and download it if necessary.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
- Sign in with your Apple ID or create a new Apple ID.
- Enjoy your free 3 months of Apple TV+ subscription!
Note: You can only redeem the trial subscription as a new customer or returning qualified existing customer without an active subscription. You can find all information about the promotion on PlayStation.
What’s on?
The streaming service Apple TV+ offers you a wide range of exclusive series, films and documentaries. The free trial subscription includes all content in the best possible quality in 4K with HDR, Dolby Vision and without advertising.
You can also use Apple TV+ on all supported devices and not just the PlayStation. This includes smart TVs as well as iPhones or iPads, Windows PCs and Mac computers.
Compared to Netflix or Amazon, the streaming service Apple TV+ does not offer the largest selection of exclusive series, but there are some very high-quality productions in Apple’s growing portfolio.
Here is a small selection of titles that you should definitely give a chance during the free three months of Apple TV+:
- Ted Lasso: An award-winning comedy series by and with Jason Sudeikis about an American football coach who takes over an English football team – without knowing anything about football.
- The Morning Show: A gripping drama full of behind-the-scenes intrigue on a popular breakfast TV show. Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon shine in what is arguably one of the best accounts of the #MeToo debate to date.
- For all Mankind: What would have happened if the Soviet Union had won the space race? This intelligent and gripping sci-fi series explores this question and has delighted fans and critics alike since its launch with breathtaking images and cleverly written characters.
- CODA: A touching coming-of-age drama about a girl who is the only hearing person in her deaf family and wants to pursue her passion for music. CODA won the 2022 Oscar for Best Picture.
- Finch: A touching science fiction drama with Tom Hanks as the last surviving human on earth. To keep him company, Finch builds a robot for his dog to look after him when he is no longer there.
