After more than 11 years of absence, Electronic Arts will finally take up the torch of the NCAA Football series of American football video games dedicated to university teams.

This series was interrupted in 2013, with the title NCAA Football 14, following some legal concerns regarding the use of certain licensing rights from the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association).

EA Sports, the sports arm of Electronic Arts, announced in early 2021 that they would be resuming the video game series under the name College Football. And it was only in 2022 that they formalised a return during the summer of 2024.

Here we are, after revealing several details about Madden NFL 25, we’ll do the same for College Football 25. You will discover some information not yet revealed.

An imminent announcement

A few days ago, the official page of the College Football 25 game was updated with the establishment of a countdown. We can indeed see that the cover of the game will be revealed on 16 May at 4pm.

And although the full announcement of the game is planned for May, we do not know if it will take place this Thursday, 16 May with the reveal of the cover of the game.

A cover already visible on the internet?

This is practically the case. Indeed, the game page on the PlayStation Store already displays a cover of the game. And looking more closely in the source code of the page, we see that it is the cover of the Deluxe edition of the game.

Our information about College Football 25

Following our French editor billbil-kun’s recent investigations for Dealabs Magazine, they managed to recover a certain number of elements about the game.

Game platforms

College Football 25 will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. It will therefore unfortunately not be available on PC, as the old games in the NCAA Football series were.

Editions and game prices

According to information from billbil, there will be three different editions of the game. Apart from the Deluxe edition, there will be the Standard edition but also a Collector’s edition of the game called Home Coming Edition.

This Collector’s Edition was surely planned to celebrate the resumption of the video game series after 11 years of absence. And we were also able to recover its dimensions as well as its weight which you will find below.

On the price side, we were only able to recover that of the Standard and Collector edition which will be set at $69.99 and $149.99 US dollars, respectively.

To sum up:

• Standard Edition: $69.99. Also available in physical box.
• Deluxe Edition
• Collector’s Edition (Home Coming Edition): $149.99. Dimensions and weight: 11 x 11 x 28 (cm) with approximately 0.9 kg.

Cover of the Standard Edition of the game

Among the other items we have, we were able to see the cover of the Standard edition of College Football 25, which will be revealed this Thursday. We obviously cannot share it for copyright reasons. However, we can describe it to you very well.

Thus, we can see in this cover from left to right the following players seen from the front, Quinn Ewers from Texas carrying an American football, Travis Hunter from Colorado and Donovan Edwards from Michigan. In addition, these players, all smiles, are in the center of a stadium empty of supporters  And it is also these same players who are highlighted among others seen from behind and in front of the entrance to a stadium in the cover of the Deluxe edition of the game.

We will therefore wait for the 16 May to discover the real features of College Football 25 that many fans are betting on.
