UK and European Google enthusiasts, gear up for a smarter digital future! Google’s sophisticated AI Assistant Gemini is now available across these regions, bringing its impressive range of capabilities, including setting timers, making calls, and creating reminders.
UK and European users will be a big fan of this… Google’s next-generation AI assistant, Gemini, is finally here in app form.
After launching in the US in February and expanding to other regions in April, the app is now available for download for FREE on Android devices in the Google Play Store.
You can also opt-in through a prompt when activating Google Assistant. This is a major upgrade for Android phones, and it is completely free — if you’ve never used an AI assisitant, then Gemini is an easy way to find out what they can offer.
Why you wan the Gemini app
Gemini offers many familiar features from its predecessor Google Bard, including setting timers, making calls, and creating reminders. Google promises even more functionality in the future. It also announced upcoming integrations with popular apps like Calendar, Keep, Tasks, and even system utilities like the Clock app.
Additionally, iOS users can expect to see Gemini appear as a new tab within the Google app in the coming weeks.
Google’s Group Product Manager of Gemini Experiences, Jules Walter, suggests ways the AI can upgrade user experiences:
“With the Gemini app on your phone, you can type, talk or add an image for all kinds of help”, citing the example that “you can take a picture of your flat tire [sic] and ask for instructions on how to change it.”
