Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone brand is launching the Poco F5 and F5 Pro later. The new products are expected to be top contenders in the mid-range smartphones market.

You can watch the launch on the Poco Global YouTube channel from 1300 BST. But what do we know so far about the specs of these new phones?

According to a leak on Poco’s UAE website, the F5 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 2 processor. While the Poco F5 Pro has a Snapdragon 870 processor.

Both devices feature a 6.67-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. They also have a center-aligned punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.

The Poco F5 comes with a 50MP primary camera, a 16MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP macro sensor.

On the other hand, the Poco F5 Pro has an additional 2MP depth sensor. For selfies, both phones feature a 16MP front-facing camera.

Poco battery power

The Poco F5 has a 4,520mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging. Meanwhile the Poco F5 Pro has a slightly larger 4,870mAh battery with the same fast charging support.

Both devices run on MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 and feature a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

The Poco F5 will be available in Cosmic Black and Aurora colours.

Other features of the Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro include dual stereo speakers, 5G connectivity, NFC, and a headphone jack.

The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro are expected to be aggressively priced to take on the competition in the mid-range smartphone market.
