Survival Horror and a promising re-release of a multiplayer game
The Callisto Protocol and Gigantic: Rampage Edition will be available for free as the next Epic Games free game offers from 22 to 29 August 2024 at 4 pm (UK time) from the Epic Games Store.
The Callisto Protocol is a survival horror TPS. Released on 2 December 2022, it was published by Krafton and developed by Striking Distance Studios, which was founded by a former creator of the Dead Space franchise.
In this game, you play as Jacob Lee, a prisoner on Callisto, a moon of Jupiter. You must escape from the prison of Black Iron, where inmates are transformed into monsters. As you explore the moon, you’ll discover a range of weapons and skills to help you survive and unlock Callisto’s secrets.
After an unconvincing release in 2017, Gigantic returns this time in a Rampage edition that promises to rectify the flaws of the original game. This re-release came out in April 2024 and brings a host of gameplay improvements as well as new heroes and maps.
Gigantic is a 5v5 MOBA / Hero Shooter, where the aim is to control all the objectives on the map in order to win the game. The new version also includes Cross-Play.
